Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 16/11/2025
I want everyone who visits AJR to have a positive, accessible experience. As a UK sole trader specialising in web development, I aim to ensure my website meets recognised accessibility standards and is usable by as many people as possible.
1. My Accessibility Commitment
I aim to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, including:
- Clear, readable text
- Sufficient colour contrast
- Logical heading structure
- Keyboard-accessible navigation
- Alt text for meaningful images
- No reliance on colour alone to convey meaning
Accessibility is an ongoing effort and improvements are made continually.
2. Steps I Take to Improve Accessibility
I design and develop this website with accessibility in mind by:
- Using clean, semantic HTML
- Supporting zoom and responsive layouts
- Ensuring focus states are visible
- Removing barriers for keyboard and screen-reader users
- Testing pages with accessibility tools and assistive technologies
3. Known Limitations
Although I aim for full accessibility, there may be some areas that are not perfectly optimised yet. If you encounter issues, please let me know so I can improve them.
4. Reporting Accessibility Problems
I welcome your feedback. If you experience difficulty accessing any part of this website, please contact me. I aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe and resolve issues where possible.
